Just found a new song on youtube....just sounds naff..the vocals are really weak too....nothing comes close to the vocals on the first few discharge records, they really set the mark...

Good to see some of the first wave Discharge-inspired bands haven't lost it though!

YouTube - MOB 47 REHEARSEL '05/'06

Ahhhhhhh Mob 47 , one of my favorite d beat bands.

I heard they went all metal and fucked everything up but it will still be good to hear the auld tunes in the flesh.

Oh my. And for a more detailed overview of what the guys are kicking out these days visit MySpace.com - Discharge - Stoke On Trent, UK - Punk / Hardcore - www.myspace.com/discharge2k Sounding damn fine to these ears. Sure it ain't close to matching their classic early output, but hey, it's pretty cool nevertheless. A must see.

Folks can check out their classic early output here and which features two of their finest ever tracks: MySpace.com - Discharge - CHULA VISTA, California - Punk / Hardcore / Metal - www.myspace.com/discharge1111

Regarding the tag "kings of crust"? While Discharge were indeed important in inspiring many of said genre's early champions, they preceeded its development by some years. For a more detailed analysis check out Felix Havoc's excellent and informative piece Rise Of Crust. HAVOC RECORDS AND DISTRIBUTION

And if folks wanna check out Varukers, then they can do so here: MySpace.com - VARUKERS - UK - Punk / Hardcore / Thrash - www.myspace.com/varukers Was lucky enough to catch 'em with The Restarts London '96 and The Casualties Dundee '97. Brilliant.

And if that floats yer boat, then you may also wanna check out Broken Bones. Led by Discharge man Bones, and whose line-up also includes Conflict's Paul Hoddy, you can check 'em out on Myspace here: MySpace.com - Broken Bones - Stoke on Trent, UK - Hardcore / Punk - www.myspace.com/brokenbonesukhc

And talking of Paul Hoddy, folks can catch the man and Conflict Glasgow April 5th.
