black_matter
theremin2For the physics people on this site, would this be financially worth my while? I've always wanted to build a piece of my own kit. Also would someone with a relatively small knowledge of physics be able to crack this? Stripey
You can buy a moog etherwave kit for 200 quid,http://www.turnkey.co.uk/web/productAction.do?dispatch=showProduct&SKU=BIGB-THEREKIT&context=WEBor a finished one for another

That's what I was really looking to know. I don't really want to buy a kit that's got all the instruction and pieces and just shows you how to do it, I really would like the challenge of buying all the parts and making it off my own back. Any ideas where I could get help with a stripboard layout on the net?Edit: Found a bloody good site on stripboard layouts.
Sue Denim..
It's a pretty straightforward cct to build but if you're into building electronic ccts you should start building it on a breadboard before building this on veroboard. That way you can test your components before getting the soldering iron out. BreadboardVeroboard.
imprinted
Veroboard makes baby Jesus cry.Hate using that stuff at work!
Cabbage
i looked into buildin a theremin a few years ago, found loads of circuit diagrams on the net but apparently the hardest bit is "tuning" the ariel, i never found any explinations on how to do it! probably never get it finished either, i'v been buildin a delay/flange pedal for the last 3 years!! here a couple of links to stuff i was lookin at if you'v not seen them yourself before:Topopiccione Electronics Inc. - Topopiccione Invisible TouchTheremin World
