Guest Jake Wifebeater
NotBald, check out* the "Drome Triler Of Puzzle Zoo People" LP by Gasp. A strange mix of ambient stuff and out-and-out blasting aarrgghhcore, which works very well indeed. They also did a split 7" w/Noothgrush.*i.e. visit me and I'll put it on the turntable while you struggle to pop the weasol off the bottle of red. lepeep
Oh man, there is so much more to ambient than the stereotypical waves crashing blah blah.In essence your saying that a lot of classical is not music because it has no drums and guitars?watch it hog...don't take him so litteraly...he probably meant......err......much like a spice girls song intro might be classed as 'ambient' (?)..... spellchecker
i would definitely second the alex smoke recommendation (paradolia), it's a great album for sure. not ambient though!stripey recommended an album to me ages ago which i thought was quite good:Shulman : in search of a meaningful momentmore towards the ambient spectrum i would say. it's not an album i play every week for sure, but i do enjoy when i put it on.
