Guest Savant
I need to get some car paint for a VW - can anyone recommend decent & cheapish places to get a hold of VW paint? And also does anyone know of any sites that give you advice on actually applying the paint?Cheers
HeinzHines
For stone chips? Or are you wanting to get something sprayed? I would leave any spraying to a professional, also spraying from a tin looks hidious always. If its just the little nail polish type stuff for chips, goto somewhere like Halfords and they will sort you out. Guest Savant
Both - I have a new grille needing painted.I've been to halfords & they only have a limited selection of colours that doesn't include mine. I think I may have found some from Aberdeen Volks Centre though.
MattJimF
not sure if it's much help now but you could try autosave, they have a place on riverside drive, by the bp garage or up by the lang stracht hotel
Scootray
As well as paint, you'll need laquer, or the paint will just bubble and peel. The grille will need sanded down too.

manalive
Thanks for that...What sized brush should I use?Dont use a brush, get it in a areosol. If you do need to use a brush get a good brush, possibly a Harris, for a grill I would use a 1 1/2 inch brush and apply in light coats, 5-6 coats.
