His Majesty
If you're getting in to DADGAD I think it's pretty essential to check out the works of Bert Jansch and Davey Graham, their 1960's albums in particular.

black_matter
I've been massively experimenting with DADGAD lately, check out Andy McKee on youtube but mainly just experiment and play what you feel, that's what I find the most fun. His Majesty
although id reccomend taking the G down to F#That makes it open D, a great tuning for sure, may as well whip out a slide and play some blues.

Huw
Love's HolidayWhen I went down to see ISIS (YHAAAAS!) wi ma pals a band called Love's Holiday were supporting. It was just 2 Oxbow members (vocalist and guitarist - with a Martin) playing acoustic songs. Occasionally, during the set, my gaze was drawn from the huge frontman (who was by the way stripping and having a VERY public 'me time' on stage) to the guitarist. He was playing in DADGBD. His change from playing 'rhythm' parts to more lead orientated parts was pretty cool and he made good (and tasteful) use of harmonics. due to my tonally inept ear i havnt worked much out. but it's good stuff nonetheless.
