spellchecker
Is anyone else listening to this album? I think it came out in May. It was a 'recommendation' from amazon, so i decided to buy it on a whim after being distinctly underwhelmed by some other big albums released this year failed to excite.it's brilliant!just wanted to say that. Guest idol_wild
It really is fantastic. It's very hypnotic. I love the way it's been produced. Great album to listen to in bed when trying to shut out annoying noisy neighbours.
Edgar Graham
Yeah it's really good. I find sometimes I try and listen to it and it's too much (generally about 8am on the way to work) and other times i listen to it and you enter a trance like state and there's nothing else you'd rather listen to (generally about 8am when the party's just ending). spellchecker
i don't want to ruin it by over listening but that is inevitable now anyway.i found it while looking up some booka shade stuff. does anyone recommend other things in this field (oops pun) in similar or not so similar styles? Edgar Graham
Funny you should mention Booka Shade was just playing in my work. Can't really think of anything that similar to The Field other than some minimal techno shit, there's wads of it on the go just now. It's been slated by some techno snobs for it's apparent ease to produce. The leaders in the minimal game are Ricardo Villalobos or Richie Hawtin. Not that similar but they've got the same progressive vibe.In other electronic ways you must get Fujiya and Miyagi's -Transparent Things, it's unbelievable.
