Boredoms + Michael Gira @ The Lemon Tree, 24th October

Recommended Posts

four hours?

Well I think there will be a number of factors how long they will play

1. If people are quiet & respecful towards Michael Gira when he plays

2. If we get a good turn out* & ther audience gets well into their set & whats

going on during their set, then a long set is certain. (not 4hrs tho')

* i'm sure Isla & certainly IMP are rellying on the likes of yourself (etc etc) to get as many

people into this event, to make it a great night, so that come 2008 a few scorching events

of the same musical magnitude, can be put on again @ The LT.

Please pass the word.....

Okay, tell me where to start with Boredoms, please? What songs/album will knock me off my seat and think, "SHIT! That's awesome!" ?

Also, are imp doing the Akron/Family gig that is apparently happening on the 27th of November?

early mad shit :

Onanie Bomb Meets The Sex Pistols

Soul Discharge

Pop Tatari

More recent :

Super AE

Seadrum / House of Sun

Super Roots 9

All of the above are in my opinion "Awesome"

I dont think Imp are involved with A/F gig (though i'm sure Mark will correct me if i'm wrong) If its anything like last years gig it will be a stormer

thank you for that FT, all i can say is on the 23rd nov 2003 travelled to Glasgow to see a line uo that comprised of:-

Paragon Ensemble

Vibracathedral Orcherstra

Whitehouse

Cosmos

Ryoji Ikeda

AMM

Merzbow

BOREDOMS

On that day Boredoms were quite simply AMAZING & probably the best live artists i'd

seen since attending something rather unique in Edinburgh in 1996 by the much missed

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, but thats a story for another time..........

BOREDOMS live is where its at, whether you know their recorded output or not,

I urge you & any maybe's or waverer's to take this opportunity to see what will

be in my opinion be the highlight of live music in Aberdeen in 2007.......(2006/2008?)

Arkon Family is not an IMP event, but most IMP'ers will be there, they were rather fine

last time
