HairyScaryMark
If you want good piano sounds, get a stage piano like Roland RD170.If you want good real instrument sounds, get Kontakt player with a good sample library, such as Garritan Personal Orchestra or VSL.Synths are primarily for making 'synth' sounds.A good cheap synth.....maybe one of the Alesis ones or previous Alesis model from ebay. Alex
Synths are primarily for making 'synth' sounds. No, actually I can't be bothered. I might hit up my piano for some piano sounds, though.
HairyScaryMark
You could get a cheap controller keyboard and download freeware and demos of software synths and samplers. If you get into playing keyboards, buy something, if you don't, you haven't wasted any real amount of money. My evolution controller was cheap, has lots of knobs/faders etc. and has a nice feel to play (better than many 'pro' keyboards I have tried).Model is MK-461C if you can find it on ebay or something.
