framheim
aye twas a good night. shame we went on so late but these things happen i guess. certainly not our best gig but we had lots of fun regardless. thanks to brian and flash for tasty cheap booze and for putting us on. Chris
It was a good night. After they mouthed off on here last week it was pretty predictable that Kashmir Red were going to be shit. Horrible pub rock, a bright career in Drummonds beckons. The singer had a good voice but lost points for "Ave It!" being the first words out of his mouth.Triggerman were fucking ace, Right Said Fred playing Clutch. Great music to drink to.Countervela weren't quite as good as I hoped they be. They were great, just lacked variety. I especially liked the last song.I'm really hungover now, damn you moorings and your awesome cheap booze.
kingofdeon
Cheers Chris.Hopefully we'll get a residency in Drummonds soon. It was only our second gig and i'll remeber next time not to say "ave it". Was loving the cheap booze though - cheers Moorings! LETS FOOKING AVE IT...stevenKashmir "pub rock" Red. RF Scott
i think the other 80(ish) that were there would disagree....How do you know, did you have a survey at the exit and a lie detector test for those whose answers weren't as good as you'd hoped? And if your answer is that people were cheering and clapping or whatever, well done, you played a gig in a pub on a Saturday night. Just sit on a seat and slowly fester.Hey, if you are going to attack the way people look and dress (and the price of their clothes!), maybe you should read up on National Socialism, you'd love their ideologies. I could go down that route and say that from your myspace photos, you have shitty amplifiers and whatnot, but I'm a pretty liberal guy, and can accept that there are people around who aren't intelligent as the average Joe, without wanting to put them in camps or anything.MODS - Could you maybe just leave this up? While I take offence at the idiocy of this user, I'd much prefer this was left up than taken away...

He can ban me if u wants. blessing in disquise anyway...and to The man himself, RF. fair enough - you're obviously smarter than the average 19 year old but who rattled your cage initially. u werent even there, an if u were, u may of known what i was talking about....! an if u dont want people lookin at your photos then dont publish your webpage links in your profiles!!? oh an i dont own any amps. sorry! play drums, i do. xxxxxxxx

Well sir, you are obviously a lot less able to put forth any rational thought without resorting to personal attacks, than the average 25 year old (Hey! I managed to look at your profile AND not save any photos!). Your cockiness and inability to accept criticism brushed past my cage, your arsehole reply rattled it.2. Of course I wasn't there, that is why I was asking about your overly confident statement about everyone in the audience disagreeing with what Chris said!3. There is a difference between looking at someone's myspace page, and downloading a photo, putting it on your photobucket, posting it on a website, and then using said photo to lay into someone's appearance and clothing, as a way to justify your entirely idiotic (non) point. That difference is that the former is a regular occuring thing which is in fact the entire point of said website (myspace), the latter being a creepy and perverted way of putting forward an argument. An argument that was as well thought out as the Titanic.I'm done.

Do you feel better now? What a bizarre way to react to criticism.I'm glad your friends enoyed your set, but going on the fact that they cheered your line check I don't think they were the most objective of listeners. kingofdeon
Can't we just get along here? To be honest i can't remember them cheering our line check? As you say music is subjective and if you dont like our style fair enough but i must say i had great time - probably to do with the cheap jack daniels - and thought we did well. Lets be honest its all about enjoying it and "aving" it and we certainly had that. I just love the fact you say "predictably" shit. Which pretty much means you didnt give us a chance in the first place...Now where did i put that Drummonds contact number....

I figured you were either going to be amazing or awful to go slagging off other bands so quickly, and unfortunately for me it was the latter.None of you played badly or anything I just found it really boring and incredibly average. It was the same generic oasis style pub rock band I've been seeing around Aberdeen (mostly in Drummonds) for 10 years. As Dave pointed out it's not the sort of thing I like anyway so I wouldn't get too wound up by me not liking you, you can't please everyone.Still think pointing out I hire kilts is one of the most surreal reactions to a bad review I've ever seen on here. kingofdeon
Fair enough, to be fair i think we've grown up with "pub rock" and it probably shows. But im sure your band sounds like what you listened to over the past say ten years. Thing is i'll listen to what you say and take it on board and hopefully build on it for the next time. I must also state that i never had a go at Panda Eyes on here and "each to their" own and that. We're not looking to re-wrtie the book just go out and enjoy ourselves playing tunes - but you can hardly compare us to Oasis at all. Hopefully if you are unfortunate to catch us again we'll entertain slightly more. Cover an Anthrax song or something...?! Must admit though mate we had some fit fanny there...
