Im rather hacked off just now my mate just sold me his gamecube with all the mod cons and this including all the zelda games YASSSSS.

Problem is zelda only works on a 60hz t.v set and im curious if i can either buy anything or do anything relatively easy to make my t.v compatible.

I MEAN IT'S ZELDA I HAVE NEEDS TOO ha

It works on a 50Hz TV. I know because I have Twilight Princess on loan and a Gamecube.

You get the screen at start up saying that the game prefers to run on a 60Hz Tv but it can run at 50Hz level. Select it then carry on.

Unless.... your TV isn't even 50Hz?

I am pretty sure that Ocarina of Time/Master Quest that comes with the Wind Waker special edition runs in 60 Hz mode only.

you fucking geek.

Any jobs going at Firefly? :p

That's odd because Twilight Princess (the latest and greatest) runs at 50Hz. Hrmmm. I've never played the the Master quest with Wind Waker on my current TV. I'll give it a shot before the end of the week and see if it goes tits up for me. Twilight Princess can definately run in 50Hz though... so can Windwaker.

I think it's probably because Ocarina of Time is emulated on the Gamecube version rather than being a port, so to save the hassle of emulating different versions for Europe and North America, they just emulate the American version which would be NTSC = 60Hz.
