Only a few have really made me stop and listen so far, but they have been fucking great!

Poison The Well - Versions

Grinderman - Grinderman

Neurosis - Given To The Rising

Modest Mouse - The new one (I only think the second have is good though)

Psyopus - Our Puzzling Encounters

Beneath The Massacre - Mechanics Of Dysfunction

Zozobra - Harmonic Tremors

I can't think of many more right now for some reason, but I will add to this list as they come....

Trail of Dead - So Divided

Aereogramme - My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go

Bloc Party - Weekend In The City

Explosions In The Sky - All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone

Godflesh - In All Languages (If re-releases count)

That's about it off the top of my head until I have a good rummage through my collection to find other 2007 releases I've overlooked.

Malcolm Middleton's A Brighter Beat is probably the only album that's really struck me as 'best of the year' material.

Despite being pretty great, Bright Eyes' new one was a bit of a let down in regard to what I was expecting, as was the Willy Mason record. The fact that both follow on from a couple of truely magnificent albums probably doen't help their case.

I've only bought about 4, two of which being the Middleton and Bright Eyes albums, which are both not bad, and the other two being Bloc Party and Manics which are both pretty poor. I'm just waiting for the new National album to be my album of the year. I'll probably get round to buying Modest Mouse too and there are few other albums i've still to check out.
