Tav
Under Construction: Will complete later. For sale I have my Warmoth Telecaster project. I've had this for a long time and I never find the time to get it all put together. I've got less and less time these days and an expensive car hobby (rebuilding cars = expensive!) So, I think it is time to get shot of some more items which are filling my room. This morning I opened my wardrobe to look at all the items and to my disgust I found a massive chip in the body. The guitar has been sitting in its original packaging which is heavy duty cardboard. Someone (myself or someone else in the house) must have dropped something on the box and its really left its mark. For this reason the body will be significantly reduced in price.I have grouped together some items to sell together...for example the neck will come with the tuners etc. I have also included individual prices on each item...although if I can sell a group I would rather do that.Group A: Complete Project = 350Group B: Neck & Associated Parts = 125Group C: Pickups = 70Group D: Body = 90Group E: Group A: Complete ProjectBuy everything as seen in the picture below for For a list of parts see the individual groups below.Group B: Neck & Associated Parts = 120Neck:Type: Replacement Tele Warmoth "Pro" Construction Right handedPro Construction: More information on "Pro" construction is available at the following page:Warmoth Direct - Replacement Guitar Necks, Custom Guitar Necks, Guitar Conversion NecksFeatures:Fingerboard .25" (6.35mm) thick Double expanding truss rod Gotoh Side Adjuster (Right Hand Only) Black phenolic face dots 10"-16" compound radius fretboard 25 1/2" Scale 22 frets Flat bottom nut slot Material: Quarter Sawn Hard Maple w/ matching maple finger board Hard Maple (Acer saccharum):This is the most traditional Fender neck wood. Tav
Group C: Pick-ups 70Seymour Duncan Hot Lead (STL-2) and Hot Rhythm (STR-2)From official website:Hot true single-coil pickup with increased output. Great for country pop, rockabilly, blues, jam, and classic rock.Imagine taking the Vintage models and turning up the output. You get a fat and full punch in both the low frequencies and mid-range, yet it retains the muscular twang of the Vintage. The sensitive coil combined with custom length flat pole pieces provides more sustain.Available for both rhythm (neck) and lead (bridge) positions. The rhythm pickup has a similarly designed high-output coil for full, clear sound and comes with a chrome-plated brass cover. Often used in the lead position and matched with a lower output rhythm pickup like the STR-1 Vintage.Original Price: 50 ea.Current Price:70 pair Pictures:Group D: Body 90Type:Standard Tele Replacement Body Material: Alder Alder is used extensively for bodies because of its lighter weight (about four pounds for a Strat body) and its full sound. Its closed grain makes this wood easy to finish. Alder's natural color is a light tan with little or no distinct grain lines. It looks good with a sunburst or a solid color finish. Because of its fine characteristics and lower price, Alder is our most popular wood and it grows all around us here in Washington State. The tone is reputed to be most balanced with equal doses of lows, mids and highs. Alder has been the mainstay for Fender bodies for many years and its characteristic tone has been a part of some of the most enduring pieces of modern day contemporary music.Configuration:Top routed for pick gaurd Bridge routing: Vintage Tele. This pattern matches the vintage "ash tray" bridge as well as current Gotoh brand replacements (both standard and humbucking versions). 1/8" holes for strings and fixing screws.Pick-up routing:Standard Telecaster 2 x single coilSide jack option:[/bStandard Telecaster input cup w/ 7/8" mounting hole.Original price of body materials: $160.00 = ~90Finish:Metallic Gold Top Gold. This is now a catalogue colour.More information on paint finishes is available at the following page: Warmoth Direct Paint & FinishesOriginal price of paint: $210 = ~115Total Original Price of Body: $370 = ~205Damage:As can be seen in the pictures below there has been a large chunk of paint removed whilst in storage. Not sure how this happened but I am really annoyed. For this reason I have put the body for sale at material cost as the finish has been ruined. There is also a small dent on the rear of the guitar. This was cause by my watch when fitting some hardware. Stupidly left it on instead of removing it.Pictures:Front:Damage:Back:Current price of Body: 90Group E Hardware: Controls & Connectors:Misc.
