Lemonade
I was surprised to see not one single mention of them in the top ten bands lists. I'm not the worlds biggest fan but I like their two albums from the 70s (I haven't heard last years one). I've got a perfect condition vinyl of their first album, it's one of my prized possesions
Swingin' Ryan
I had them in my list of 'honourable mentions', they just didn't quite make the top ten for me.Great band though, and often quite overlooked when people are talking about the origins of Punk. Afro Droid
The new album is actually really good.
The Ghost Of Fudge
agreed. i saw NYD at the reading fest two (?) years ago - they and MC5 kicked more arse than anyone else that weekend.. easily so.plus, i saw the video for dance like a monkey on you tube, and it's ace too
Marsh
The first album is brilliant. Personality Crisis is a fave song of mine.I always put them on when we have Rolling Stones fans over and tell them they are an enhanced Stones as they paved punk, have a better attitude in their songs and Johnny Thunders is cooler than even Keef.
