Scorge
Just watching his new 'television programme' on the box now, and it's reminding me of how much of a self satisfied, smarmy, irritating, fake cockney, patronising, hypocritical tossrod he is. You might have co-wrote The Young Ones, but you ruined the script for Filthy Rich And Catflap, and your books are pish. Prick.Discuss! And no fighting, children! Shaki
Dinna like the cunt one bit. Never read any of his books because they look shit and I would probably hear them in his voice.....could be great of course. Blackadder was pretty funny mind you. I see he also wrote and produced The Thin Blue Line
Hog
Totally agree. He isn't funny, his new programme is shit and who is that lassy who was next to him? She was shit too. (pretty fit though) *better not say that or Nestor Makhno will get me*

Scorge
Hey Filthy Rich and Catflap was pretty funny you nonce!Kind of. Nowhere near as funny as The Young Ones or Bottom, too much breaking of the fourth wall, too much drawn out dialogue, probably only worth one series. The episode with the Nolans in it, though, is a belter...... Read High Society, or Post Mortem. He's not very entertaining in person though. I think this thread is in outrage.
Old Gold
Jonathan Ross took the piss out of Elton's new programme on Radio 2 last Saturday quite marvelously. The advert did look painfully unfunny.

I like all the Ben Elton books I've read and coupled with Bottom and The Young Ones (Bottom to a lesser extent) I'd be tempted to let him off with a warning in Bad Comedy Court. N.M
Perhaps I'm going mad, but I'm pretty sure that Ben Elton had nothing to do with the writing of Bottom. It was written by Edmondson and Mayall. May be wrong on that one though. Feel free to correct.

Frosty Jack
Who on earth advised Alexa to take that job? A promising career, in tatters...
Last Wrong
I love Alexa Chung. I've also read most of Ben Eltons novels, mostly decent if a little contrived. There was one about a big brother type reality murder scenario, pretty honking.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I watched the first episode of his new show, and it was like watching a car crash. Hopefully he will never grace our screens again.Alexa Chung is just a poor man's Miquita Oliver, she doesn't even have funny legs, marks off.
