He spent the majority of his set strumming his guitar and saying 'Yeah... yeah... can you turn it down a bit in the monitor..." The rest of the set was spent talking to an old neighbour of his in the audience. I don't remember either of those from any of his albums, but I'm always open to a set filled with b-sides. delboy Posted March 16, 2007 Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 i saw julian cope at the shephards bush empire in london back in 1995 and it was one of the best gigs ever. he did a three hour set and it never got boring once.first set - stuff from his (obviously then) current album '20 mothers' and recent albums Autogeddon, jehovahkill and peggy suicidesecond set - acoustic stuff from right across his career (the highlight being a quite wonderful version of 'beautiful love')third set - teardrops and early hits, lots of crowd pleasers e.g. reward, treason, world shut your mouth.
