Deodorant

Recommended Posts

Do we really need it? Mine ran out 2 weeks ago, I keep forgetting to buy a new one and I haven't noticed any difference in my aroma (apart from not smelling of deodorant anymore).

Does everyone here use deodorant?

Take the 2 week no-deodorant challenge. Smell like yourself.

What do you do jobwise? There's no way i could go sans deodorant humphing tv's around all day.

I stopped using spray deodorants about 6 years ago and now use solid aromarant deodorant from Lush (sandalwood) - I can heartily recommend it. (I did try the patchouli flavoured one, but it makes you smell like a hippy who has slept in a ditch)

Regards

Flossie

True. Sitting in an office pretending to work doesn't break much sweat. I'm going to stick with it......

Mission aborted. Just home from practice. There is an odour society would deem unacceptable permeating the air when I raise my arms. Was worth a try but I guess that's 5 a month I need to spend.

Ahhhh, sunday morning practice. We used to whip up a storm in that small room in the Foyer with the combined smell of the previous days hard work + bed sweat + alcohol seeping from our pores + bovril drinks. Fucking lovely.

Use dead gerbils to soak up the sweat.

Simple method really - you'll need cellotape and two dead gerbils that fit perfectly in the socket of your pits.

No deodorant required. You might wanna change the gerbils every few weeks though!

Dont be so fucking stupid! ;)

This is what happens.......

If advertising says so - I believe it!

YouTube - The Lynx Effect

Hasn't happened to me in the past 2 weeks which proves the point really. Think I'll Lynx masel up and head to Espionage tonight. Watch out for the stampede.....

Deodorant is just marketing hype convincing us that our natural smell is a bad smell...isn't it?

Perhaps, but either way, it's engrained into our heads that you cannot smell like humans are meant to smell. "BO O NOEZ!"

I was out in the moorings last Friday and happened to share a table with both Garth and Hippy John.

Believe me, deoderant would have certainly have stopped me from moving off to sit at the bar.

I'm all for people doing their own thing but socially it's unacceptable to stink people off your table!

That's why we started burning incense, to protect the rest of us.

To be honest, I don't mind Hippy John's smell,. I don't think it's offensive. And I've never smelt Garth.

I put on deodorant this morning before work, and I'm not sweating and smell airy.

Usually I fucking reek. Anyone who actually knows me can confirm this.

Mitchum is ace - it's not like I need hardcore 48h protection (although it's good for sweaty gigs etc), most importantly it lets you proclaim to people that your deodorant is so effective you could even skip a day! tm

As well as being pretty necessary a lot of the time, deodorant is nice isn't it? I use Ted baker at the mo, and it makes me feel all clean and raring to go. Blimey, I sound like an advert.
