gah, I wish they wouldn't bother with their new boring political themes.

My favourite Megadeth song is about skydiving.

Unless they had two on the subject, I presume you mean high speed dirt?

Holy Wars and Rust In Peace... Polaris were 'political' songs and they are both amazing! :)

But yeah, for all these americans that bang on about how rubbish the USA and it's goverment is - I bet you every one of them would still rather live in the states than anywhere else in the world...

I always thought of Megadeth as quite a political band lyrically, it's one of the things I liked about them and I thought it nicely set them apart from some of the other bands from that era.

As for people who complain about America wanting to live there, I don't really understand what you're getting at. For a democracy to be effective it's citizens have to question those in power, after all they work for them and not the other way round. Americans complaining about America are just being patriotic.

With regards to the album cover (and I assume the lyrical content of the songs), I believe we're seeing a gradual slide back to the 80s. We've had 6 years of right wing US governments, the world is embroiled in a prepetual war against a vague enemy (terrorism taking the part of communism) and Sly Stallone is back in a boxing ring playing Rocky Balboa. Action movies in general are becoming properly violent again and getting back to the golden age (Ruthless Reviews.Com: Where Pornographers Debate Nihilists About Pop Culture.

Maybe we're going to see metal go the same way. Estrella aren't an outdated tragedy, they're on the forefront of a new wave of old school music!

Or maybe Megadeth just want some controversy so people actually buy this album so they drew a picture of the UN building getting blown up.
