You know what would make this night even better?

If the sound was in 5.1 surround sound, i've been reading good things about it here.

Oh wait a minute.....

Ok so you wanted to trip but not risk taking acid or mushies - here's what to do:

when one hallucinates it's because the brain is producing alpha waves - these can be replicated by lights strobing at the correct frequency. a guy called Brion Gysen knew this and set about making an object called he called the "dream machine". It's essentially a piece of of tubing with apertures cut into it with a light source in the center and a revolving base. It can be made at home and fitted on top of a record turntable. It really works! In honour of this visionary pioneer (see what I did there???) Scurvy will be creating a dream machine and a giant kaleidescope - these interactive sculptures will aid and enhance the visual experience of the party goers and maybe change the way you see the world (sorry puns are like scag to me).8-)

Only problem is that the dreamachine was meant to be used when your eyes were closed -

Dreamachine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"The Dreamachine is "viewed" with the eyes closed: the pulsating light stimulates the optical nerve and alters the brain's electrical oscillations. The "viewer" experiences increasingly bright, complex patterns of color behind their closed eyelids. The patterns become shapes and symbols, swirling around, until the "viewer" feels surrounded by colors"

Maybe someone should mention that this gig has now been moved to Snafu so lots of people get the wrong idea about Landstrumms music style when they turn up at the the high energy cheese gay night now being held at the Peli that night.

I'm sure it would still be quite fun though.....
