Telso, Shaki and Bullhelm used to play together in melodic janglers "Sons of the Stage", who questionably played far too many gigs in Brechin and Laurencekirk. The singer left just as things were getting good. A frustrating 3 years of fruitless singer searching later, Barzo arrived in Aberdeen. He gave them the album "Lo Fi Fo Fum" by his Glasgow based band "Manganese". They got excited and invited him round to the flat, made 3 cups of tea and a black coffee, and they all watched "The Last Waltz" together. A triumvirate no more, now there were four. The music that followed gave them purpose. They all live in the same area and frequent the same pub. They probably spend more time together than is healthy but this can only be good for the music.

Astronot are a rock trio from Thurso in the far north of Scotland. The group was pulled together by guitar player Jamie Reid after a couple of projects failed to take off. Long time friend Stevie Bruce was called in to sing and play bass and shortly after a drummer, in the form of Darren Macleod, completed the line-up.

Plans to play gigs away from home are in the pipeline - Astronot could be set to take off in a town near you!

Formed in the summer of 2006, Panda Eyes are a 5 piece indie pop combo based in the city of Aberdeen. Jan Deal (formerly of rock band Port of Saints and indie electro band Stroszek) met Glaswegian exile Marie-Claire Jones, and the two decided to form a band. Marie-Claire recommended that her friend Verity Shaw to could play guitar, and Jan found drummer Charlie Hepple under a bush, playing the drum beat to Lucky 13 by the Smashing Pumpkins on a rusty tin can. Seemingly cursed to never find a bass player, Cameron Masson (formerly of punk band The Planeteers) was eventually recruited and now Panda Eyes are as happy as Larry...

oh yea and looking foward to the gig - and seeing Panda Eyes (altho I have no idea what to expect ??)

We sound alot more chaotic and noisier than we do on myspace, but still poppy at the same time.

We're recording on Wednesday night, and hopefully if it comes out sound good, we'll give away a few CD-R's to people at the gig.
