Paul G
I'm looking to get some sort of equipment for a young drummer to practise on at home. He's just starting out so we don't want anything too expensive/flashy. Also, we live in a small tenement flat, so it has to be fairly quiet! Any suggestions? A few folk have recomended the yamaha dx (is that right?) electronic kits, but 500 is way over our budget. Any advice from those of you who are in the know will be much appreciated. There's a couple of Yamaha DTX's just now on Ebay....you might be able to grab a bargain.
GD_Drums
why not buy an accoustic kit, either a 2nd hand decent one or a decent entry level kit. Fit Mesh heads to it so you get the feel but not the noise.

Paul G
Cheers for the advice guys. We've had to decide to abandon this idea for now as it happens, so won't be buying anything for now. Thanks again.
