medichi
So which album has let you down? For me:Isis - In Absence of TruthThey used to be great - distinctive, intelligent and heavy. Now they sound like they've fallen behind all the copycat bands that sprung up around them. Seriously disappointing album. No great tunes/riffs/emotions etc. Bo and indeed hiss. Lucky IntrOnaut have begun to pick up the slack....

Old Gold
Although I did really like it, I was expecting something extra special from Dylan's Modern Times.
Neil
Tool's 10,000 Days. Lackluster at best.
Guest Craig C
I'd have to say El Presidentes debut album. They are excellent live imo, but the album did not do them justice.
medichi
For me proberly the Sikth album. Shite.Agreed. Utter bobbins, buts its being hailed as their "best ever". Pish.

Hog
Tool's 10,000 Days. Lackluster at best.I heard so much about Tool! So I bought this album. Nice cover...shame the songs are shite (and yes I did try to listen many times) and before you say Hog, you dont get it...no, its just a shit album. Teabags
Metallica - St AngerI know it wasnt released this year. But its the worst piece of shit ever recorded.
Hog
Na, i think its a bit above you anyway. i wouldn't worry about it, not your fault. Why? I listen to Meshuggah, John Zorn, Fantomas, Ulver, probably no more "out there" than Tool. Its just simply not a good album, I have heard earlier Tool stuff which is way better.Dont see why you should be patronising just because I personally dont enjoy an album. SteveCrisis
Primal Scream's new album was a disappointment.I don't think Tool's 10,000 Days was that bad. I prefer it to Lateralus
lepeep
The tool LP is "ok", and that's it (2 brilliant songs does not make a magic LP)it's hard to remember dissapointments in music this year, let alone the top 5 lps!...tortoise & bonny prince billy : the bravery (?) good, but not as amazing as I thought it would be. liamtw
the new incubus albums pretty dire compared to there other stuff and im a big incubus fan!!!!! damn them!!!!
emilsgremils
The new Decemberists album (the Crane Wife) dissapointed me because it's not as good as Picaresque. Still a good album, but I expected more from one of my favorite bands.
KarmaTsunami
hmm...i had that quite high on my 'to get' list...it might get shunted down a few places now.

psydoll
the new incubus albums pretty dire compared to there other stuff and im a big incubus fan!!!!! damn them!!!!You'd never guess it from your former band, I thought you guys were more of a Slayer fan type bunch...Gwen Stefani's new album. Seems like dire, generic 'whatsinthecharts' tripe compared to the wanton popdancefun of her last effort. Boo.
Larsen B
The new Decemberists album (the Crane Wife) dissapointed me because it's not as good as Picaresque. Still a good album, but I expected more from one of my favorite bands.I'd also say it was slightly disappointing. I don't like the stomping 70s rock sound on a couple of the tracks. emilsgremils
hmm...i had that quite high on my 'to get' list...it might get shunted down a few places now.Definitely get a Decemberists album if you haven't, I just personally wouldn't start with that one. I'd probably start with "Castaways and Cutouts". I should probably also give "the Crane Wife" another chance. It seems to be getting great reviews. Also, I haven't heard any of the other albums on the disappointment list, so maybe I haven't heard any truly disappointing albums (except the new Killers album...I heard one track off of it, and it wasn't so good). GraemeC
agreed. Also seeing Oasis pull out a best of without "whatever" on it.If I produced a "best of Oasis" album, it wouldnt have anything on it.....:]
scottyboy
10,000 days is awesome. you just have to use the skip button a lot because there's only about 4 proper songs on it. they're better than anything on lateralus.
