City Sinners - A Tribute

To Gram Parsons

Southpaw

Friday 1st December

7.50 (5 concessions & Regulars)

Doors open: 9pm Show starts: 9.30pm

Gram Parsons virtually invented country rock when he joined The Byrds in 1968 and hijacked their musical direction. His death in 1973, at the tender age of 26, cut short a life during which he had been instrumental in breaking down the barriers between country, soul and rock music.

City Sinners are fronted by singer-songwriter John Hinshelwood and contain some of Scotlands finest country and Americana musicians. Tonights set will include songs from Parsons time with The Byrds, the Flying Burrito Brothers and his seminal solo albums, GP and Grievous Angel.

With support from Perth country rockers Southpaw, this is a night no fan of progressive country or Americana should miss.
