Chris
Right. nominations have finished and the first book to read is I, Lucifer. I guess what we could do is post up a thread for the book and once folk have finished it they can post comments, does that sound about right?I'll update this thread with the full order later on this week. Spoonie
excellent. probably worth mentioning in the title that there will be spoilers, so that people don't fire into the thread before they've read the book and ruin it for themselves. /x
SteveCrisis
The book that wins the vote is the first book to be read. The rest of the initial list will be in order of 2nd highest number of votes to lowest (with everything on 0 being decided on when it was nominated I suppose). If you want to take part in the book club all you have to do is read the book. Whether you buy it or borrow it from a library or whatever is up to you.Chris,Could we make a slight exception here?Depending where American Tabloid is in the reading order, shouldn't The Cold Six Thousand be read next? Simply because it's the sequel..

Simply because it's the sequel..Hmmm. That's a lot of stylised Americano crime to read in one go. I'd be more inclined to give everyone a break. Nothing's set in stone though, if once we get to American Tabloid everyone wants to carry on through Cold Six Thousand then we can do. Spoonie
that's me just placed an order on amazon for the rest of the books. once i get Eggers down, i'l have the first seven out of the way. good prices too for most of them. the postage cost was considerably more than the book in almost every case! /x
