TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Fucks sake, nobody slags off Mark Sloan! The man is a legend, Diagnosis Murder is ace. You're right about Quincy though, what a prick he is...

The UK's always made these things best, i quite liked the older Marple, never got into Poirot though,CheersStuart
delboy
midsomer murders deserves a mention an all, the body count for such a leafy rural part of middle england is rather unrealistic - john nettles is good in it though. GraemeC
I watched about 10mins of Quincy the other day...first time ive seen it in many years, him and his asian sidekick, thats got to be some of the most extreme ham acting I have ever seen....it was bloody awful!! Sam the Eagle
i like father dowling's spunky ginger nun friend, she reminds me of the rather timid ginger nun in sister act - but with greater mystery solving abilities.

Lovejoy was a slightly dubious antiques dealer and forger.
delboy
another really appaling one was pie in the sky, richard griffiths playing an ex cop who ran a restaurant but kept getting involved and he solved most crimes wearing his chef's uniform. Marillionboy
Hetty Wainthrop surely. Although the ever dull BBC variants of Prime Suspect, Messiah, Waking the Dead and Silent Witness and complete toss. Dark, choral music, serious looking investigators. Yawn. Its been done to death. it's as dull a genre in my book as Scottish crime novels.
Sam the Eagle
Hetty Wainthrop surely. oh no... she's great. very suburban, very chic. Floral prints and murder go hand in hand.
