Saturday August 12

Fudge present at the Moorings Bar:

The Tyrant Lizard Kings + Deadloss Superstar + Bench + The Unknown Heros.

3, 8pm.

www.myspace.com/tyrantlizardkings - The Tyrants formed in Edinburgh in summer 2002. They quickly got a greasy, stoner rock groove going and gathered a strong fanbase doing their first mini-tour at the end of August 2003. The twisted noise of formed into a monstrous take on rock and blues, bringing to mind the likes of Clutch, Motorhead, Cramps and Karma To Burn, among others.

Most of 2005 was spent recording and gigging which saw them share stages with Viking Skull, Mcqueen, Plan A, Trashlight Vision, certain Death and Man Of The Hour and many more. May 2005 brought the Mayhem fest at Studio 24 in Edinburgh. December 2005 saw the release of their Debut Album 'Attack Of The Tyrant Lizard Kings' with a sold out show at Edinburghs Liquid Room to support it. In 2006 they hope to bring their sound to a new audience by taking their album on the road and not stopping till every city/town/village has been laid waste to......

Influences: CLUTCH, WILDHEARTS, THERAPY?, KYUSS, ENTOMBED, IRON MONKEY, SUPERSUCKERS, MOTORHEAD, KARMA TO BURN, C.O.C, PANTERA, LAZARUS BLACKSTAR, ELECTRIC WIZARD, SCISSORFIGHT, SNOT, HELMET, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, EXPLOITED, MONSTER MAGNET, PRIDE + GLORY, TOMAHAWK, ANTHRAX, REFUSED, VIKING SKULL, SEPULTURA, MCLUSKY, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, ALICE IN CHAINS, SOUNDGARDEN, FAITH NO MORE, CRAMPS, JOHNNY CASH, MUDDY WATERS, FATS DOMINO, JERRY LEE LEWIS, ROBERT JOHNSON, CHUCK BERRY, LITTLE RICHARD, JOHN LEE HOOKER.......

BENCH are a creative indie rock band. Youll love them, although they appear to be lacking a website. Expect proper singing and mid-tempo guitar rock from a band whove been gigging for yonks and can do the business.

www.deadlosssuperstar.co.uk - www.myspace.com/deadlosssuperstar - Influences include Guns N' Roses, Deftones, Queens Of The Stoneage, Alice In Chains, Black Flag, New York Dolls, The Wildhearts and Iggy Pop. What they have arrived at as a band may be best described as stoner-punk'. Drenched in distorted guitars, but surprisingly melodic, their songs range from frenetic punky thrashers to majestic slow-burning epics. The memorably enthusiastic live show comes with passion, energy and a firm commitment to entertainment. It's an altogether sinister affair, with themes of murderous love, drug-fuelled insomnia, and the end of the world. They fucking mean it.

This will also be bassist Jame's last show with the band, so they hope to provide him with a suitable send off...

www.myspace.com/theunknownherosband - Hey there. We are The Unknown Heros. We're an Aberdeen based band who have been together for a around a year. . Since then we've been working on our own songs, playing the songs we love and playing shows (which we also love). Were influenced by Rage Against The Machine, Green Day, Oasis, The Beatles, Mudvayne and tons of others.
