Oh nil you just don't get it, every thing is serious to me.

Maybe this thread could turn into a Johnny cash/stripy remix comp with points awarded for the most ridiculous yet dancable remix of ring of fire.

I bet nil could pull a good one out the bag, the electrotrendhouse bag that is.

I'd thought about doing a dubstep mashup but that would just be a slur on the great mans name.

Johnny Cash and yer gabba are Completely different speeds...but that's the least of what's wrong with this mix.

If anyone wants to hear a decent mix of Ring of Fire then get Frenchbloke & Son's 'Ring of Fire on Outer Bongolia' - it's not the Cash version they use, but the results are ace.

No you should escort the heavy bass out of the mix and BAM in some pounding reggae rhythms with lots of bass.

Also i think it would help your tune if the vocal was a little more chipmunked and their was maybe a sample from a recent pop ballad as a breakdown. I'm sure Christina's new tune would lend itself well to such an idea.

Seeing as how Johnny Cash is a favourite of mine i'm going to decline to listen to this as I'm pretty certain I will find it unpleasant, regardless of humourous intent or not.

It's been pretty much proven time and again that trying to introduce perfectly good songs into a 'remixed' dance music based environment is a bad idea. As is the vast majority of dance based electronic music. Usually very dull and unimaginative.

I hope you enjoy my tribute to johnny cash.

I put it on my dl list, o_O

but I must say Johnny Cash never had any musical thing for me, so it's hard to make crap stuff sound any better,:gringo:

Remix some blue note or verve label stuff, hit up some Ellington, Coltrane or Oscar Peterson magic, Like start with quality

Whaddaya say?
