Top 5 Most Dangerous Production Motorcycles of all time...

Top 5 Most Dangerous Production Motorcycles of all time...

1) Kawasaki H2 Triple. Almost everyone that rode one died doing so. The front tyre never wore out because it only connected with the tarmac whilst parked. The engine lasted 3000 miles between rebuilds, and engine failure whilst in motion would usually result in a fatality.

2) Laverda Jota with 180 crank. 140mph, no fairing, and a 'challenging' brake handling interaction. You can still see Jota sized holes in hedges and dykes to this day.

3) Honda CBX1000. A transverse 6 cylinder engine and 120 section tyres. Need I say more?

4) Yamaha XJ650 Turbo. Not perhaps the most appropriate application of forced induction.

5) Norton Commando. Pulling the brake lever made it go faster. Much faster. A supertanker could outbrake one of these... only super tankers can't do 130mph!

***

Runner up. Yamaha V-Max. 130BHP, shaft drive, forks made of chocolate, chasis made of rubber, and a 15" rear wheel = certain death.

Top 5 Partick Thistle goals of the millenium that I've seen:

1 - Gerry Britton, Dens Park, 2002: Does a bit of Jim Baxter-esque keepie-up before firing a volley from a country mile out into the net. Hampden here I come......

2 - Scott Paterson vs ICT, 2002: Throw in from 25 yards comes in, falls to Paterson who chests it up, waits for it to come back, then blasts it in......

3 - Andy Ross vs Raith, 2005: Ross picks up the ball about 30 yards out to the left of the goal, scoops it a mile high into the air, and it somehow falls into the net......

4 - Stephen McConalogue vs Cowden, 2005: One out of the textbook - picked up from a Cowden attack by Boab McCulloch, forward to Gilles who sells two dummies, onto Andy Gibson, inch perfect pass to McConalogue who drills a low half volley straight into the corner. Don't see many of those, I tell you.....

5 - Graham Dorrans, Balmoor, 2005: Overhead volley from around 30 yards out, it looked better than it sounds......
