framheim
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4769387.stmin a good way mind. it's nice to have a charismatic socialist leader who seems to be doing some good. bet europe doesn't take him up on his offer though, just out of spite(or pressure from the US and european oil companies). Guest Jake Wifebeater
Good for Chavez, I say. Bolivia just got a Chavez of their own, Evo Morales. Interesting times in South America...........

I was reading recently about Venezuala, Boliva and Cuba signed a trade agreement aimed at fighting against the influence of the US in South America. Also in Brazil, P-SOL has been formed, a left-splinter from Lula's Worker's Party. Good times.

Larsen B
I did read a humorous quote from him regarding a scantily clad protestor at the event.

Paranoid Android
His recent UN speach calling George Bush the devil and brandishing a copy of a Noam Chomsky book was quite amusing.

Interesting times in South America...........Morales is good, and is trying to go down the Chavez road, but because of the Bolivian constitution and the way their plarliament is set up it's MUCH harder for him to get a similar foothold. I love the controversy he's been stirring up with the coca policies... and his amazing knitted jumper, what a guy.
