Current Jukebox Listing: 20 slots to swap out - requests please

Among the things we intend to swap in this time around are:

Courtney Love - American Sweetheart

Fields of the Nephilim - Revelations

Jet - Get Born

Sisters of Mercy - Floodland

Soil - Redefine

Young Heart Attack - Mouthful of Love

Various other jukebox stalwarts will have their albums rotated such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, AC/DC, etc.

We intend to rotate about 20 entries in total, so we need specific suggestions on what goes in. We do not however require any input on what is removed, otherwise it will become impossible to remove anything... So please be constructive. Also take into account that we have to maintain some sort of balance, exactly where the point of balance is may drift a little over time though.

It would be useful if people could highlight niche compilations that cover a specific minority genre where there are no definitive albums as such.

Another thing we intend to do is hold over 5 slots for local bands material. AUBL are going to burn some local band compilation albums, that way we get to include the work of as many bands as possible.

made some changes on Sat... more to come, in went:

Rage Against the Machine - self titled

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Greatest Hits

Coutney Love - American Sweetheart

Misfits - Collection 1

Out went (heh heh):

Red Hot Chilli Peppers - By The Way

Double Jack - Phantom Energy

John Lennon - Legend

Sensational Alex Harvey Band - Delilah

Soil and Young Heart Attack albums are released this week. I'll swap Blink182 out for their latest release at the same time. Already have Wildhearts in there, will put Soundgarden back in for a second innings, thinking about Iced Earth. Not sure I could handle the Manics though... Will put Inept303 in for you Keilan - I found it downstairs.

We can't put burns in the jukebox but if you give me them to listen to, and I think that they'll do the job (I don't have to like them to appreciate them) then I'll go out and *GASP* purchase the original.

You missed Boston, it just came out after close to 2 years. More than a Feeling is on one of the few comps though.

It's probably safe to put Live & Dangerous in now that we've barred 'Air Guitar Kenny'. AC/DC and Sum 41 are both due a rotation so what the fuck... ZZ Top - err no. Your Iced Earth vote is added to the others.

Guns 'n Roses - I didn't know there was a greatest hits but we already have all their albums and rotate them. I'll check this out due to laziness issue though.

Slayer I need some convincing on, but are you aware that Napalm Death once spent an afternoon in The Moorings?

You know you want to, it'll be a good move :p

Actually, that would just make me come and spend more money in that retro game machine, I went in tonight and discovered it had Hyper Sports, and now I'm sadly addicted :( I remebered playing it from being 6/7 and going to the arcade, and...and..it's too addictive :(

Just the local band by that name :) they played recently at the Lemon Tree with Cayto, the X-Certs and King Liar and the Brutes - and more recently at Kef with Broken Sunshine, Point of Origin and The No Pints, but they were kinda out of place there (they seem to be appealing to the older gig goers, at least).

It doesn't seem that long to me. Enjoy the illusion of forever while you still can!

I was speaking to this pretty cool old pensioner geezer recently. I commented on how much faster time was passing for me these days. He told me that it would be a lot worse when I got to his age. He told me that he wasn't supposed to say anymore in case he scared me. I asked him what he meant. He said "well put it this way, in terms of perceived time, you only have about 2 weeks left".

OK I'll check the track listing for Greatest Hits. If it's shit then II goes in, and in another eternity AFD returns.

Deftones I can go with.

Today I purchase CDs - although inlays must be written for them to go in the machine. If anyone fancies writing some, then there's free drink in it for them, just be there this afternoon.

Interestingly when they didn't have Holy Bible in stock, Fred offered my 3 other MSP albums free of charge, but they had all the 'hits' on them so I politely declined, saying something like "NO FUCKIN WAY MAN! GIVE ME A BREAK I'M NOT TAKING THOSE!".

Avril Lavigne - Let Go
