psydoll
Nu-metal by numbers my man, depends how much you like the sort of basic core of the genre I guess...
sludge
well theres very few nu - metal bands that have lasted the pace with me - just rounding up the lot so i can eventually narrow some tracks down for my cd.godsmack being another.whats bands do you dissagree with? psydoll
RammsteinFozzyLost ProphetsGlassjawIi just don't think they really fit in there somehow, it's like when Incubus and Deftones were still being called nu-metal on the 'Make Yourself' and 'White Pony' albums respectively, they just didn't seem to fit in. Rammstein are kinda too industrialish and Fozzy are more hoary rock aren't they?It was a genre with quite a large span of bands getting lumped into it at some points though I guess so personal opinion and all that. I noticed I re-posted Saliva as well. Oop.
sludge
aye you may be right - but i just really think my car would be jumping a bit more with rammstein
medichi
(hEd)peNonpoint(hed)pe's first album is a fucking schizo-stone-cold classic of the genre. They get bad-mouthed for the sexist bullshit they spout and the increasingly awful follow-up albums, but DAMN that first record is good. Seriously. Download "Circus" "Ground" or "P.O.S"....Do I have any cool points left at all? Oh, never had any....Nonpoint's first record is good too. ps Cold split this week. psydoll
Ah whit? Rubbiss news! It's not on their website yet though.(hEd)pe were ace! I love the first two records still but yeah they've just got worse and worse and worse and the sexism was always mildly off-putting. That last CD is just embarassing. New Disorder
Yeah, the first hed(pe) album was rockin. As was the second Spineshank album - brutal.I liked the hip-hop medley on the first Nonpoint album and their were some good moments on the first Shuvel record too. Inkster
RammsteinSoilFozzyMudvayneStone SourLost ProphetsIll NinoMachineHeadGlassjawI would disagree that these are nu-metal bands. You can maybe argue on a couple of them but I dont think they are.Too many bands got lumped into that genre which ruined their careers. Inkster
Was the whole thing about nu-metal not that the band had a DJ? Just thinking, to be fair, lostprophets 1st album could be considered a bit nu-metally
