Guest Phantomsmasher
See, I always thought Pretty Hate Machine was better than Downward Spiral ... but this is quite likely to be because I'm a sucker for synthy 80's styled sounds. steve corps
just get the 'and all that could have been' dvd, one of the best live dvds ever.almost cant be argued.
Guest bluesxman
Pretty Hate Machine is my personal favourite and the only one I listen to. I gave up after Downward Spiral. Apart from revisiting it after Johnny Cash did 'Hurt' to remind myself what the original sounded like. Johnny Cash did it better.
NARC
I must admit I do like "With Teeth" - but I've never heard "The Downward Spiral". As in "Achtung Baby" by U2, I like the general air of emotional heaviness, because it shows that music can display such without having to resort to muted powerchords"The Hand That Feeds" is a belter of a single, too. rune
The fragile for its raw and incredible sound.
Skull Commander
I personally enjoy downward spiral the most. With teeth is a good easy to get into album, but the fragile may be heavy going due to it being a two disc effort.
