Rachie
Anyone who's been to the Royal Thai Restaurant on Crown Terrace, I need to know if they have disabled access or not, if someone could help me out with this one that'd be great.Cheers. CamilleY
As far as I can remember, going in wouldn't be a problem, but I think some of the eating area is downstairs. . .
spellchecker
no there's no downstairs at the royal thai.i think there are two small steps at the front street entrance, and further, just before you come into the main dining area i think there are one or two more individual steps. i think the first two steps at the door could be difficult if the person was unassisted.on the plus side i seem to remember tables are generally quite generously spaced apart. Rachie
Thanks, I was just worried they'd be like Saigon and Jasmin's and have the 10 steps down to the restaurant, the guy on the phone said there were about 3 up, which should be fine. Sue Denim..
It's not a bad restuarant at all. Probably the best one on the street. (And I should know, I live on that street and have tried them all. )
Marillionboy
Bastard place. Had the worst date of my life there. Absolutely nothing to do with the restuarant I hasten to add.

Sam the Eagle
there's a word they can't spell... i can't remember what it is, but it flashes up on that tv in the window for everyone passing by to see
Marillionboy
Sounds intriiiiguing.Next time I'm in The Moorings. Basically it got off to a bad start as I was in a cab and it stopped at the lights and my ex crossed the road and I realised I was wishing it was her I was taking to dinner. It was downhill from there really! The food on my plate was nice though. I spent most of the night staring at it so I remember it very well. Rachie
Ohhhh gutted. Nothing worse that being with someone when you're sitting thinking about someone else. Heh.
Marillionboy
On top of which she was a complete bisom. And on top of that when she arrived she pointed out that I had been meant to accompany her to something earlier and had clearly forgotten and as a result she was in a bad mood with me. Clearly not with my credit card though.

And the word is 'Dinning'.

Rachie
Interesting. One huge step at the front which was hard enough to get the wheelchair up as it is... then 3 steep steps after that for which they have a removable ramp which isn't really wide enough to push the wheelchair up safely.Plus no disabled toilets. It's amazing places get away with that. Marillionboy
And you never see black people walking dogs as someone pointed out to me a while back. Like Karl Pilkington says, you never see old people eating Twix either.
