Dayeth
where people can tell us everytime someone in the universe dies in the confines of a forum, and not every second thread in the Wasteland.
Scootray
What's wrong with those posts being put in the Wasteland? These forums are essentially just about the music, the wasteland is just a place for the "other stuff" like announcements of the death of famous people. No?

Daniel
would people look into a forum daily just to check who has died?
Chris
Yes' date=' but they are constant. I dont want to hear about people dying, three times a day.[/quote']then don't read them.they're harmless enough and only posted when someone of interest to the person who creates the thread died. If the person was important enough to warrant interest to them then it seems reasonable that others would be interested.
Hog
where people can tell us everytime someone in the universe dies in the confines of a forum' date=' and not every second thread in the Wasteland.[/quote']Funniest post ever lolMaybe TV Tanned should have an Obituary forum
Paulscoconutass
I think this would be a good idea, either that or there should be a proper clause in the websites rules about naming 'Death threads' so that we can definately avoid them. Daniel
how about an msn trouble forum aswell then

The Kernel Loaf
How about a Google Video forum aswell? It's pretty much the same problem.Or even a merging job of threads that contain google video links
Chris
But then again' date=' the Wasteland is meant to be a discussion forum, rather than a "look what I found on the internet, ma" forum. [/quote']I dunno, the wasteland is just supposed to be everything that doesn't fit the more focused forums. And I think that silly videos etc would be included into that. You can post a video or a death announcement and then people can discuss it.Maybe the idea of having mega threads containing everything to do with one subject is a good one. Personally I think that things just get overdone for a short time then everyone moves onto something else. Ignore them and they go away basically. The Kernel Loaf
Maybe the idea of having mega threads containing everything to do with one subject is a good one.I think it is. A lot of the other forums i regularly post on effectively merge topics to avoid spamming/extra bandwidth usage than necessary. Merging of topics seems to happen too little on Aberdeen Music. lollerskates
Dayeth, you are awesome for making this thread. Also, megathreads are the correct answer, but they won't last due to the inevitable retards posting a new thread for their death, video or otherwise. Guest pop-notmyface
it would be better if it was called "Obituaries Forum".
