Scorge

Slightly early for most of you, but I'm a Thistle fan and we've already been taken to a fucking replay in round one by a pub team (in the unlikely event of any Albion Rovers fans being present, apologies).

Here's the round two draw (after this lot of games, the bigger guns come in):

Gretna v Cove Rangers

Arbroath v Dumbarton or Forres Mechanics

Ayr United v Cowdenbeath or Greenock Morton

Queen's Park v Raith Rovers

Lossiemouth v Spartans or Berwick Rangers

East Fife v Peterhead

Threave Rovers v Forfar Athletic

Stenhousemuir or East Stirlingshire v Partick Thistle

Stirling Albion or Elgin City v Inverurie Loco Works

Alloa Athletic or Selkirk v Montrose

Ties to be played Decemeber 10th.

I quite fancy Inverurie Locos to beat Elgin and Stirling' date=' what else...

Lossiemouth could be worth a bet to beat Spartans or Berwick Rangers too, particularly with home advantage.

Threave Rovers could be in with a shout as well.[/quote']

I disagree about Inverurie if they get Stirling (although they've got a chance against Elgin, who've been rank rotten lately). Similarly, I could see Lossiemouth getting past Spartans, but I think Berwick woud cuff them.

Seen Forfar at Firhill earlier in the year, I think they're far too good to slip up.

I'm keeping my eyes on Selkirk, who are now my 2nd team. I'd love to listen to Tom Hendrie's excuses if they slip up against the mighty Soutars. As for Dunfermline, well, we'll have to finish our mammoth CIS Cup run first. Hampden here we come. And Scorge, if the DA get to the final, we're going.

Not long back from the 4-1 win at Ochilview, although the scoreline won't tell you that a) we should have been 3-0 down after 20 minutes, b) the Thistle defence was fucking awful (again), and c) goals 3 and 4 were scored past very tired Stenny defenders.....

Here's the round 3 draw:

Alloa Athletic v Livingston

Spartans v Queen's Park

Queen of the South v Hamilton Academical

Hearts v Kilmarnock

Dundee United v Aberdeen

Ross County v Forfar Athletic

Falkirk v Brechin City

Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Ayr United

St Mirren v Motherwell

Hibernian v Arbroath

Rangers v Peterhead

St Johnstone v Gretna

Stirling Albion v Partick Thistle

Dundee v Stranraer

Clyde v Celtic

Dunfermline Athletic v Airdrie United

Looks like another APEX to Stirling for me then........

Bloody typical draw...

Rangers at home Vs Shite team !!

Celtic away to Shite Team !!

And Aberdeen get the Stinky Arabs away... We hardly ever get a simple team at home, unless it's the stinky League Cup.

Soon as Clyde came out I said "That's who Celtic will get".

"And Clyde will be at home to......Celtic". So bloody predictable. And whilst Aberdeen and Dundee Utd get each other, don't forget Hearts and Killie are playing each other (two of the top five teams). Also reckon Motherwell will have a tough match against St Mirren (despite St Mirren getting hammered at the weekend). If it was only one draw it wouldn't matter so much, but it's the fact these dodgy draws come out every single year.

Anyway, I'm going to go to Tynecastle to watch us get put out by Hearts. I'm looking forward to the game, hope it will be a big turn out and it's generally a good place for an away game, but I can't see any chance that we're going to win against them.

Hearts v Kilmarnock

FUCK's sake....

an all premiership draw and we had to get one of the big three, it'll be a great match but i'll be leaving any hopes of reliving 1997 firmly at home.

When's the match?

Knight of Swords! holy shnitzel, i though i was the only Kille fan in exile up here ;)

You are, I live in Ayrshire. Tell the truth though, Dundee Utd were playing really well when we put them out in 97 and I really didn't think we'd win against them, so you never know.

However, you can strongly suspect that it's not going to happen. Very strongly. Very, very strongly. In fact, why the hell am I considering going to this game? I don't even like Edinburgh very much.
