Should a band like us record a mellow song/ballad?

Recommended Posts

So we are half way through recording our EP, 2 songs so far are pretty heavy one isnt a million miles away from Fear Factory the other has a Lamb of God/Megadeth thing going on. Would it be shit to record a mellow song because I have a song written which is pretty unmetal.

There's no way Hog can stay away from knicker-pissers...he's hooked! The only thing that might help him break the habit is knicker-ette patches.

alan that was sooo dire......i loved it :D

Guest Bob

Do the mellow one if it's a love song. That way when you take a girl over to your house and play her the CD she'll no doubt want to hear, you can play her the nice romantic song and while she's distracted by your heartfelt refrain, whip off her knickers for a good hard shagging... ideally to the brutal metal tracks!

Last of the romantics Bob :D

Well, it can be mellow and evil, Pantera did a great job on Suicide note pt2, although it does sound a little bit Bon Jovi

Mellow songs are cool, as long as its not going to be an "I Try" esque masterpiece, no cheddar please!!:D

Yea, I think it'd give that balance show the buyer/receipant the multi talented side to you all.

Ballads are great and give a ep a good even go.

Well' date=' we've all seen the Dr. Pepper adverts.

Personally, I'd like your cd to kick my ass all the way through with no breaks in the middle.[/quote']

I agree man, maybe a mellow tune is best for my solo twiddling
