ragudave
I am trying to read The Name of the Rose just now. I'm finding it pretty hard going. Is it worth the slog in the end?Davehttp://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0156001314/002-7271323-7452809?v=glance

Sue Denim..
Try reading 'The Quincunx' by Charles Palliser. It's like reading Charles Dickens only 50 times longer. Now that was hard. It's great for proping up tables if you've got a table leg missing.
Guest RockMonkey
Baudolino was easier, I thought, than Name of the Rose, but I was younger when I read it. The Island of the Day Before is pretty cool, and I think, the easier of the Eco lot. There is actually a book called "Reflections on The Name of the Rose" which is pretty helpful when reading the book.It was 4.95 when I got it but it might be cheaper now.
