framheim
is it worth it? i mean i know it's free and stuff but is it better to bite the bullet and pay for webhosting? i don't need a hugely professional website until i become a professional i guess but i think it'd be good to present myself in the best light possible even before i start looking for work so should i go for a domain name and all that now?is there anywhere that's much better than other places for cheap webhosting? particularly for sites that use a lot of pictures. Smooth_groover
I'm in the same situation as you at the moment. I'm looking to build my own pro-looking photography website, but I think almost all the 'free' hosts either give you next to no web space and/or pollute your site with advertisments.I've built my website already, I just need a host to dump it onto. So yeah, anyone got any info?
Hog
I use One and One. Its good. Never a problem. Adverts popping up all the time does not do a site justice. Try them. Its www.oneandone.co.uk I think
Neil
I second the one & one suggestion by Hog. I don't think there is anyone cheaper as far as professional web hosting goes nowadays. However, you get what you pay for - so if you are after more specialist web hosting with greater bandwidth/disk capacity/features then you might want to check out what I'm offering - just click on the link in my signature below...
