Biz
Where can I get a reasonably priced MOT on a Saturday?
Guest tv tanned
best bet is to call round garages and get quotes.
Guest DustyDeviada
An MOT is a set charge, it's the work that your car may need to pass that will cost you. And you won't know that until you put it in.For what it's worth I get mine done at Murisons.
Guest tv tanned
An MOT is a set chargeI did think that, but being as I only ever owned a car for 7 months before putting it to the scrapper, I've never had the chance to get an MOT done. Alvin Starclusk
Most small garages'll offer you a discount on the statutory cost. It's in their interests to get your business in the event of a failure after all...Remember that a re-test is free. And don't go to Kwik-Fit or somewhere like that, where they won't be knowledgeable enough to fix most faults (although I believe you can drive the car home or somewhere to be repaired, so you're not tied in to them doing the work).I think the last one I had cost 25 (in Edinburgh unfortunately). paranoid
Blackburn Garage is good. Carden Motors on Broomhill Road are reasonable.Avoid Pittodrie Motor Stadium like the black death.
Chris
I'll second Carden, that's where I go for MOTs and servicing. And they're great if you own a honda.
Tav
I am pretty sure I re-test is not free...as they have to redo everything again.
...mole...
I am pretty sure I re-test is not free...as they have to redo everything again.as long as you brign the car back to be tested within 24 hours(i think) you get a free re-test. and they dont have to re-do everything again just check the parts that it failed on previously
GraemeC
Where can I get a reasonably priced MOT on a Saturday? Its kinda short notice but if you phone Caldwell and Dempster in Banchory first thing in the morning (8am) they might squeeze you in and do an MOT while you wait.G...
