Guest Scott 5FD
i use Fender 1mm heavy pics coz they dont bend about and i can play fast without having to worry about the damn thing snapping. that reminds me i need to get some more.....scott
Tav
Purple Roto Sound or Purple Tortex Dunlops...1.14mm, nice and hard for playing bass. For guitar the green tortex or the yellow. I have also played with these cool picks that have a plastic tip and a rubber grip....quite cool.
Graham
For bass its purple Dunlop 2.0mm picks. Really heavy and they don't bend. And guitar ones are smallish Gibson heavy ones.
Adam Easy Wishes
For bass, Dunlop Tortex .88mm picks. I like the way there's a certain give in them, 'cos they're thin.
soundian
Me too. I think they're thick enough for fast riff playing but thin enough to give the strings a bit of a thrash or play bass chords.

Paulscoconutass
I think venom's are crap - i took one for my bass at the last LTP gig and it didn't even survive the first song of the 1/2 assed sound check.

Mouse
I have so many shapes and sizes of picks, but Jim Dunlop Nylon 60mm's do it for me!
M.A.R.T
i use the kind found on the floor at gigs, practice rooms and down the backs of friends sofas. but i only use the kind that are not wafer thin and rigid thick.i dont know the brand names because the print has usually worn off.i used to like sharkfins, but the pictures would sometimes catch on my high e. Chris
I use 1.14mm dunlop 500sbut the best picks I've used are the pickboy graphite ones (black with a hash leaf on them). They're quite thin, rock hard and sharp. Just can't get them that often though.

YETI
the pick is the mind killer. learn to play with your fingers. it gives a better, fuller sound. also allows you to pass to slap and tapping with ease. but i hve to admit if the song is really fast and only on 1 string i use me old purple Dunlop 2.0mm pick which i have since the year 2000. YETI
really I was just joking. everybody plays however they want, and however they feel more confortable with. my big problem with a pick is changing string i can't give a smooth passage but always miss a beat or two in the fast bits
Leckie Gilman
the dunlop tortex o.6mm fuckers are the best. the little orange ones with the turtle on them.
Danny Doubt
i've started using .73mm yellow tortex dunlop's cuz they giv me just enough flexibility for my rythmn playing and enough sturdiness for my solo's.And for acoustic stuff i use the red sharkfin one's they're superb.danny. Guest Rainbow-Bunny
i use Jim Dunlop USA Nylon .88mm picks. More heavy than light, but the variation is just right. Plus they last fucking ages and never snap
Leckie Gilman
hmmmmmmmm almost half a year later from the previous post in this thread, i still think the dunlop tortex 0.6 ones are the best.
