Bobby
i would like to request that you review the baguettes of the NY Delights place at the top of union street, as im too lazy to go myself, despite it being 2 minutes walk from my place of work. Paulscoconutass
Thanks for your interest Bobby, the fact is that were a pair of lazy bastards and there's no way you'll see us trecking to the other side of town to eat a baguette that we could have extreme style.Twice i've had the cheese base with a super-sized portion of chicken mayo washed down with some semi-skimmed milch and it's been more than satisfactory, although i think a change is in order. PrincessHolly
Our dear friend Tom was raving about the delights of NY Deli the other day. He could not believe that such a tasty baguette came from a family run deli and I feel he may vow to never satisfy his hunger at Subway again.Furthermore, I love baguettes and I have taken a particular liking to them filled with Brie and Cranberry sauce. Bobby
Today i very nearly went into the Ny Delights place, but was put off by the numerous mistake in the menu. if you're reading this, employees on NY Delights, it's monterey not monetary cheese. So i went to subway.
Chris
If you want to test value for money then I suggest Pat's Pantry on george street (opposite Denzil's). Massive baguettes filled with goodness for next to no money.
shaun
what kind of next to no money are we talking about here?
Chris
well it was a couple of years ago I went there but I paid somewhere around the 2 (might have been less, maybe a little more) mark for the biggest sandwhich I'd ever seen. Had to eat it over two days.

New Found Power
Where is this NY Deli place?According to snapfax there's one on Schoolhill too, bit I'm buggered if I can find it.Maybe it exists in some sort of trans-dimensional realm that only those with an authentic noo-yoik accent can gain access to? Chris
I have been to NY Deli now, and it's not quite as good as Subway but the service was better (at least better than the subway at holburn junction). The NY Deli I went to was at Holburn Junction, beside Frankensteins. However I did overhear them talking about another one on Schoolhill but I'm not sure if it's open yet or if they moved from there to Holburn. I certainly don't remember seeing one on schoolhill. shaun
i reccom' date='mebnd jewsters on schoolhill- the filling just spills out the baguette. and its cheep[/quote']it's the worst place ever, shut up.
New Found Power
Yeah, "The filling just spills out of the baguette" just says "they can't make sandwiches properly" to me.NY Deli is opening where the photo factory used to be on schoolhill as soon as they get it all set up. Huzzah!
shaun
ny deli is lovely, but the service is usually quite slow.
PrincessHolly
I like jewsters but there's always too much filling. I end up with more chicken mayo in the bag than in my mouth. I've taken to making my own brilliant sandwiches. They're great.
Larsen B
I had an extreme coronation chicken baguette the other day. So overpriced, but so XXXXXtreme!
