Skull Commander
come on that's stretching things. I play through ninja gaiden and am reminded of streets of rage. a beat em up is a beat em up.but it's a beat 'em up with a heavy platform slant. No platforms in streets of rage. Using your logic kung fu chaos on the xbox is the same kind of game as SOR. It clearly isn't.
framheim
cmon, street of rage 2 was a fun game but hardly one of the greatest games EVER and NEVER BEATEN. sheesh.and street fighter 2's beauty was it's simplicity but there are better games out there now. plus body blows on the amiga was more fun and just betterer. framheim
the team 17 one. we had it but it broke. it was faster than street fighter 2 and had more characters to pick from(i think). it had a ninja imaginitively called 'ninja'. Chris
ahh I think I remember it now. no. I don't think over the test of time it was better than street fighter or mortal kombat.

Guest Logan
Streets of Rage 2. Put Cardridge In. Turn On. Jump+Kick. Game Finished. The Streets of Rage series were only good in multiplayer, and even then a tad simplistic, but then, aren't all beat 'em ups of that genre? Still, they're fun.And as for Tekken owning Street Fighter, wtf?!? Tekken is the worst beat 'em up out there. Virtua Fighter beats it hands down, and Fighters Megamix on the Saturn is THE best beat 'em up. Period. And no Sonic game has ever beaten a Mario game. BAAOOUUWW!!ps entitled to own opinion. Chris
the amiga version of SF2 was ok. seem to remember it being responsible for killing a few clicky joysticks (although not as much as sensi was. it had the clicky joystick genocide record).
