The Kills

Following info from the Lemon Tree Update email today:

The Kills plus support

Monday 24th October

10 (6.75 concessions and Regulars)

Doors 8pm | onstage 8.30pm

Inspired by Royal Trux and the Velvet Underground and led by sultry, bedroom vocals, broken guitar lines and hollowed-out drumming, The Kills sound is rough, sexy, sometimes jangly and melodic and other times dark and droning.

As proven on two previous Lemon Tree appearance, The Kills have built a ferocious reputation as one of the most exciting live acts around.

'Their tight, coiled-up take on the history of rock'n'roll is a thrilling and unsettling spectacle from start to finish.' NME

Guest Les Stroszek
damn same day as the Ordinary Boys play the beach ballroom :swearing:

No offence but gotta say that the Ordinary Boys vs. The Kills seems like a simple choice. Seen The Kills twice at The Lemon Tree and they were ace both times!

Be Your Own Pet to support The Kills

Of course all you hipsters know this gig is confirmed now but here's some more juicy gossip for you all...

Current darlings of the music press, Be Your Own Pet will support The Kills on Monday 24th October, their website says of them: "Remember when you were a kid, that after-effects feeling of overdoing some kind of physical activity? Thats what Be Your Own PET's Damn Damn Leash sounds like: jumping on the trampoline so much your heart rate is through the roof, then you jump off, do a somersault on the grass and sit reeling for a few moments." sounds good to me.
