Dedalus have officially reconstructed and regrouped, with a vastly expanded core line-up and a healthy batch of new material and new ideas.

The first official rehearsal was on Tuesday - all involved agreed that it went very well, and we look forward to performing our new ideas and new material.

The band may or may not be ready to perform these ideas and new material by October 2005.

More news shall be posted when appropriate.

Is it true Neil from Reasons are Red and Lucy from the Cuts are in the band?

Niall Slater and Lucy Stroud are both in the band, yes.

Full line-up shall be announced in due course. Hopefully, we'll get some sort of website up and running in the very near future also.

Very good.

But no, we won't be signing to any such labels in the near future ;-)

Indeed, our first release may be a D.I.Y release. That bridge shall be crossed when required.

For those interested, the current line-up consists of:

Steven Rainey

Rob Smith

Niall Slater

Lucy Stroud

Christie Keenan

Neil Syme

Phillip Quirie

With the possibility of certain others becoming involved.

hello dedalus

In terms of band member quota are you attempting to compete with the polyphonic spree.???

Not quite - we just want to create a big, melodic sound. We're not being self-indulgent; it'd be easy to assume that having two basses and two drummers in certain songs would clutter up the sound - but it really doesn't. Every part fits, and every member of the band is thoroughly justified thus far.

Most of the songs are slightly happier than the Dedalus you may be familiar with, too. So we hope it goes down well.
