Biz
Anarchy In The Uk - Sex PistolsYou would be pretty dumb to think otherwise-it changed the world.
Swingin' Ryan
Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan. It's just good because it's so casual yet brilliant, it's just like "you want a great song?, there you go, goodbye".
Time Machine
For me, the full version of 'I Am The Resurrection' by The Stone Roses. Reni's drum intro, Mani's plodding bass, Ian Brown's Manc drawl and Squire's jangly guitar, all building up to a glorious chorus, and when you think the song's all over you then hear arguably the greatest instrumental finale to any album. Three top musicians at the peak of their powers.
psydoll
At the moment I'd plump for 'The Private Psychedelic Reel' by The Chemical Brothers but I don't think I could seriously pick a 'best song ever' - there's too many!
Wishbone G
Echoes by pink floydCos when you close your eyes when listening to it, it takes you places
Afro Droid
I'd have to say 'two-Way Idiot Mirror' by (predictably) The Wildhearts. Perfect combination of everything I love in music - a heart-felt honest lyric, poppy bits, heavy bits, punk bits, would sound equally brilliant played at Wembley Stadium as it would at the Moorings. Genius. ('Answering Machine' by The Replacements comes a close second, followed by 'Lover, You Should've Come Over' by Monsiuer Buckley)

lindeh
Evanescence - Understandingit's not your typical evanescence 'mainstream' track (it's on their 'origin' demo) really long although you don't tend to notice and i could so easily sleep to it if it wasn't for the drums about 6mins in! i just love it! amy lee's voice... *sighs*

ClicheGuevara
X-Japan - Art of LifeIt's half an hour long and never gets boring. It has everything...and fits together perfectly. The solos are perfect. I admit though, I'm not always in the mood. If it wasn't that, I'd probably say....bohemian rhapsody or tiny dancer. None of these are even my usual taste of music, weird.
