is it possible to match heads with more wattage than a cab with less?

dan...just which head are u thinking of hooking up to which cab???

...as long as the impedances are acceptable...ie large enough load impedance to the selected o/p impedance of the head is an important prerequisite... as for power....if u keep the volume low you are limiting the o/p current to the cab and hence the power...and u might be ok... as tav said...u run the risk of burning out your speakers... and if it is a valve head...u will have no load on the o/p stage and pop goes your head too...

1200watt 3 speaker cab...never seen that before.

Nice to see them trying to rip off the Ashdown VU meter and just make it look tacky...damn that company and their idea stealing/copying ways!

EDIT: Wait a minute that thing looks a bit too much like my MAG300...and it says it has a sub harmonics generator...can anyone else say rip off?

The entire Behringer range is a rip off, the most notable of which being the MX8000 desk which is arip of the Mackie 24:8 , or their blatant rip off of the legendary Aphex Aurel Exciter, which won them a lawsuit...Mr. Behringer claimed he invented the technology, yet when they lost in court they scrapped their product saying they no longer believe it to be a good effect (despite the legendary status of the original product!!!)

That said...their price range agrees more with my wallet than the other manufacturers out there....

Yeah but you just pay for what you get.

You're getting the lowest grade possible components they can get away with in anything you buy from them.

Do you really want to buy equipment that has the lowest grade, cheapest grade of components in anything you buy?

Do you want to buy from, and therefore fund a company which disrespects intellectual property?
