Guest Zeenat Aman
Who will you vote for in the upcoming general election? Some explanations of why you are voting for a particular party/politician over an other, or not voting at all, would be nice. Guest Jake Wifebeater
Scottish Socialist Party for me, been a paying member these last 5 years or so. The rest just don't cut it for me. Besides, John Connon, the SSP Aberdeen North candidate is a mate so I'd have to vote for him anyway!
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
Scottish Socialist most likely, one of the few parties i believe in... i can't believe i used to vote Labour now, damn you Tony!! *shakes fist*
Stripey
I will be voting lib dem, hoping that the incumbent labour MP will get booted out, because I was totally against the war in Iraq and feel blair has swung towards the right and sold us out to the americans. Hog
Scottish Socialists or Lib Dem, probably the Socialists. Conservatives? A reason? lol. Labour? Well Tony Blair murders people so thats a reason. Suppose Im a bit of a lefty. Not a fan of the Iraq "war", think cannabis should be legalised etc.

I just think that a lot of it is too extreme and that your lack of any costings for your economic policies undermines a number of your aims.We do share some common ground though, but that is inevitable in politics. KarmaTsunami
i'm completely uncertain as there are only 4 major party candidates in aberdeen north to my knowledge. it's either SNP or Labour that'll win...so it's between them. Totally uncertain.

Snowball
I'll be voting LibDem. They are the party with whom I identify the most and I think they have a great leader in Charles Kennedy. I got some Tory literature through the door and, surprisingly, agreed with a lot of it. I'm indifferent about Labour, completely disagree with everything the SSP says, and would like the SNP if only it weren't for the whole, "we need to be independent" issue... Swingin' Ryan
SNP or Labour.I'd consider myself a Liberal person but the leftist parties we have in Britain are geared towards pissed up students and schoolboy revolutionaries. Lib Dem's think it's a good idea to lower the drinking age when we have one of the worst 'Yob' cultures in Europe?
Guest Scorge Spike
My vote is still registered to West Aberdeenshire, where it's either Lib Dems or Tories, which is a bit of a no brainer. Especially when the Libs would favour proportional representation in the unlikely event of them ever obtaining power, because first past the post is just fucking rubbish. If it was a PR system, I could be swayed towards the SSP, but probably not.
