If you've come across an album called 'Astronomicon' by "Without Face" they did a song called 'The violin of Erich Zann' also. Somehow, I didn't think anyone would see the significance of the name. It's not one of Lovecraft's better known stories, but I was obsessed with him for years, and think I've read just about everything he's written - so I recognised the name, although I can't remember how the story goes.
