The Subways - Young For Eternity in ASDA for 8.97...and people say albums are too expensive. I don't often do impulse buys but so far so good. 4 tracks in and my foot has been tapping away for each and everyone...here comes number 5...

Modest Mouse's Good News For People Who Love Bad News and This Is a Long Drive For Somone With Nothing To Think About. Both incredible and on the latter album I was thoroughly impressed with the Black Franics-esque vocals on Breakthrough. Good News... is possibly the only album I've listened to twenty times in a fortnight.

To try and relive the best moments of T In The Park, today I bought

Decent days and Nights/Banque - The Futureheads

Blood/Heads in Bags - Editors

Refugees/Southern Rain - The Tears

C'mere/Public Pervert remix/Fog v.s Mould for the Length of Love - Interpol

Graffiti(demo)/Stray Talk/Apply Some Pressure (demo, and the greatest 3 mins 27 secs in the history of pop) - Maximo Park

Goodnight, Goodnight/When We Were Kids (demo) - Hot Hot Heat (I bought this without hearing it, and am extrememly regretful)

That's 14 tracks for about 12.50, so an albums worth of songs for the price of an album, but by many different bands. I will never buy an album again

Yes they are thats why they are doing a world tour in support of Iron Maiden

Let me guess Maiden are just old farts playong old songs.

Give it a fucking rest

Dude, I seriously gave it a go to see what was up - and it just seems liek a joke - It's everything that I hate about metal, wrapped up in one big shampoo advert. Supporting Maiden doesn't stop you being pish....

Josef K - Endless Soul

Endless Soul is the Marina Records comp, aye? I've got two of the 3 LTM re-issues (Sorry For Laughing/Only Fun In Town - the unreleased debut LP + the official "debut" LP - and Young and Stupid - a singles compilation of sorts) which are brilliant. There's also a couple of live records kicking about.

Recently (mostly eBay)

Sufjan Stevens - Michigan and Seven Swans

Diefenbach - Run Trip Fall

High Llamas - Retrospective, Rarities & Instrumentals

Mugison - Mugimama, Is This Monkey Music?

Monade - Socialism Ou Barbourie

Imitation Electric Piano - s/t

Cranebuilders - Sometimes You Hear Through Someone Else

G-Plan - All Roads Lead To This
