  1. Is it the burns double 6 string you have or is it an old one? I like the burns guitars a lot!
  2. Yeah a tele or rick , ac30 and a janglebox would be the ticket but at some cost lol Yeah il have a go at the eq pedal and a dyna comp and see how it goes! What kind of eq pedal is it stevie?
  3. You might be on about the Janglebox? I thought about that one but its over 200 notes ... Id have to raid my kids piggy bank for that one! Keeley stuff is expensive too isnt it?
  4. Cheers Col, its more a 60s kinda vibe I'm looking for.. The Byrds, teenage fanclub, R.E.M etc.. Just trying to get a nice chime and wondered if adding a compressor/sustainer would help
  5. Or if anyone has any other advice on this topic any help would be great
  6. Just wondering if anyone has experience with compressor/sustainer pedals to give a jangly guitar sound.. I know telecasters , rickenbackers, 12 strings , vox, fender amps etc help get the sound but can anyone give me their views on whats out there to create this pedal wise. In other words what are the decent sustainer/compressors out there? Cheers
  7. Had a Taylor 214 and was unimpressed although each guitar is different so I wouldnt rule out another taylor at some point.. I have never owned an acoustic like my old takamine En 40.. Japanese acoustic and I owned it for over a decade. I would have to dig deep in my pockets to match its sound and that wont happen soon lol
  8. From my own experience it depends how you want to spend your evening.. If you are a support band you can start and finish earlier and make a night of it after you play.. The later you are on stage the less you can get drunk (unless you can handle your drink and play well lol). If its your own gig choose a band or a couple of bands similar to your own music. Im not sure of eclectic gigs from the point of view of putting on your own show as the crowd may disperse before you even get on stage, particularly if the support band is a different genre from your own band. Quite often in gigs I have played in there is no hierarchy.. All bands are usually amateur bands and are on a level playing field.
  9. Love my stylophone, used it on a couple of tunes iv recorded! Great sound
  10. Some of the best cleans you can get from that amp
  11. Got a few pedals up on here to swap but maybe not to your taste
  12. I love the amplitube fender product.. Its very close with a few tweaks
  13. What age is it and is it mex/mij/mik??
  14. Nae bother, it goes from a light drive through classic rock and onto heavy distortion. Quite a big spectrum tbf
  15. Got a mooer ultra drive micro, joyo vintage od or marshall bb2
  16. What are you after though, cedar top, spruce top, mahog?? All solid? What you after sound wise?
  17. High end of a smaller brand name.. Some of the higher end tanglewoods are better than low end martins etc. Usually you get all solid wood guitars that way. Having said that I love yamahas , well made guitars. Best acoustic I had though was a japanese takamine en 40 which I owned for 13 years. Shoulda kept it!!
  18. Hi dave, are you looking for anything in particular trade wise?
