  1. Hey guys, Im back with more new music from my solo project. This one is called Devil`s Courtyard, its a heavy-thrash metal instrumental track. Was actually inspired to write this one by video games, basically wanted to make music that would be a good background to smashing some zombie skulls or just shooting pixelated enemies. Have a listen and let me know what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9LxTLA2aU0 You can listen (or re-listen) to all of the tracks from my solo project here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLgrDAPIq_KbvO_kfrm7XSLIhEZHKKduOZ&
  2. Hey everyone, Im back with more music for you. This time its a cover of Time Is Running Out by Muse I did with a friend. We have the original song as foundation and took the cover in a different, much heavier direction. I see it kind of as "when alt rock meets heavy metal". I did the instrumental arrangements for this one, my friend did the vocals. I wrote 2 guitar solos for this, one of them is fairly shreddy, and tried to explore a bit into alt-rock leads here. Have a listen and let me know what you think!
  3. Hey everyone! Im happy to share with you my latest track I was working on for the last 2 months. Its called Never Peace Of Mind, its a prog rock instrumental with metal, hard and alt rock influences. And as usual it has a lot of emphasis on the guitar solo. Sit back, have a listen, and let me know what you think! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLdOFuB7mEM
  4. Hey everyone! Im back with some more music, this time on the rock-side. Its an all-guitar rewrite I made to the jazz classic Lily Was Here. I wanted to avoid making "just another cover", but still stay in the amazing atmosphere of the original composition. And this before you is the result. Have a listen! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUISi_zeYgM If you like the style feel free to have a listen to my originals, and perhaps subscribe if you dig the music (I got much more fun music on the way). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD4A406DF298C779D
  5. As for the "bonus" solos: Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (hard rock solo for a great pop song): James Labrie (vocalist of Dream Theater) - Tell Me (metal solo for a fairly metal song, great song btw, very much worth checking out):
  6. Hey everyone! Im back with a third batch of metal solos to not so metal songs. As always I have 3 new solos for you, this time I have 2 "bonus" solos aswell (that just dont fit the concept but are worthy of mentioning). The idea is that I just write my own solos for songs that either dont have a solo\have a boring (IMO) solo but I still like and want to jam on those songs. No Doubt - Dont Speak - The Cranberries - Zombie - The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army - Have a listen, let me know what you think and subscribe\follow me on FB or Twitter if you dig the stuff! If you dig the concept check out all the new solos I wrote at this playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlistlist=PLF895523328C65611&feature=mh_lolz
  7. My cat is awesome Surprisingly my "pinchiest" piece is a rock ballad style instrumental
  8. Hey everyone, Im back with some new metal for you! Its something I started (well, continued if to be exact) working on right after Apocalyptic Visions. Its a metal instrumental in arabian style, with some heavy, prog and thrash metal influences. Have a listen, let me know what you think, and if you dig the music - please share it with someone! Feel free to check out my other originals at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD4A406DF298C779D&feature=mh_lolz Have an awesome weekend people!
  9. Actually just today I had a jam, not metal but it still was pretty fun (and might even lead to live performing). And btw Im pretty close to start recording solo piece #4
  10. Hey everyone, I have some exciting news! Apocalyptic Visions is live since yesterday on CdBaby and Itunes and will soon make it to other music services(such as Spotify, Shazam and many others). Its my first track ever to get such distribution, just wanted to share my excitement
  11. Its just my taste, but when a song has almost all riffs harmonized, the harmonizing just stops sounding special to me.
  12. I tried a bit too hard to make the drums "progressive" and not just the same beat all of the time, didnt work out as I hoped and the drum sounds themselves dont help the situation very much. As for guitar harmonies, I dont like to overuse them. I think they lose their effect when they are overused. Thats pretty much what Im trying to do but Im having trouble finding musicians for this kind of music.
  13. Thanks for the comment. Im checking out right now a new way to record drums so hopefully my next recording will be better in the drum section.
  14. Hey everyone, you might remember me from my guitar videos I post here from time to time, and today Im back with what I consider to be "the real deal" - an instrumental written & recorded entirely by me. Its called "Apocalyptic Visions" its heavy, melodic and its inspired by the end of the world theme and old school heavy metal. So give it a listen, and if you enjoyed it - please share it with someone as I dont have an army of fans to help me get my music across For more of my originals check out this playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD4A406DF298C779D&feature=mh_lolz If you liked the music feel free to like my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/valentinthemad
